To give a quick turn around of games there will be a "staging area" in the woods. This area can be used to store BB's and batteries. It may be worthwhile to have a small bag to take supplies for a few games. Late arrivals must not enter the gaming area. Any medications required must be noted on the sign in sheet and carried during games. Any asthmatics etc who do not have an inhaler/ medication with them cannot be permitted to play. The ground underfoot is often uneven, for your safety boots must be worn. The site is in general hard going and games will be physically demanding, plenty of water and suitable food is a must. As with all areas in Scotland the public have a 'right to roam'. If a member of the public is spotted you must stop the game play and report to a marshal. Protection:Eye protection must be worn at all times in the woodland, the safe zone is the only area the can be removed. Staff reserve the right to test any eye protection to ensure they are safe. For everyone’s safety all rifles must be cleared before leaving the gaming area. Magazines are not to be left in rifles in the safe area/ car park. There is to be no firing or testing in the car park or safe area. Shooting in general:All players firing over or around obstacles must fire aimed shots. Firing round obstacles without aiming is referred to as blind firing - players caught doing this will be removed from play. Players shooting at close range (less than 10 metres) must be on single shot or using a pistol. Head shots should be avoided, if they cannot be avoided they should be done on single shot/short bursts Any player who constantly hoses players excessively will be removed from play. Hit/dead rules:When shot raise your hand shout HIT clearly and remove your magazine. It is good sportsmanship and general good conduct to apologise for any unfortunately nippy shots you may have inflicted on a player. Players who imitate or give the impression they might be out of play to gain an advantage will be removed from game for bad sportsmanship. Dead/hit players cannot communicate to any players other than to say they are dead. They must not give away other player positions. This includes the use of radios. All shots count, even friendly fire. Ricochets/drop shots do not count. There is no official bang rule. Any medic rules will be outlined for each game. Cheating:Marshals may fire "honesty" shots, it may even be "blue on blue". A marshal will allow you back into the game into the game straight away. Continual "didn't feel/hear" shots will not be tolerated. It is up to the individual to be mindful of the game requirements. Players with ghillie suits in particular should bear this in mind. Cheat calling is not tolerated, if there is a problem speak to a marshal. Cheating calling and cheating are equally unacceptable. Players caught not taking hits will be ejected from the site permanently. Pyro:Only approved pyro can be used onsite. If you are in any doubt, ask. All bangs are classed as grenades, they have a 5m kill radius. Pictures & video:Any players wishing to video or take pictures during game play must ask first. All players must agree to being filmed/photographed. Marshals:Will be present in all games. They will be clearly visible and are primarily for safety. All marshal instructions must be followed, failure to do so may result in ejection from the game.
